The Evolution of So’Nique Lashes

About - So’Nique Lashes™, originally envisioned to be called Nique Lashes, was born in late 2018 at the dining room table of my Marietta, Georgia home. I’d always had a love for makeup but there was something about enhancing the beauty of the eyes. So much, that I started to develop the desire to create a natural, yet luxurious, mink eyelash for people everywhere!

I went out and purchased several inexpensive lashes with the thought of creating my own styles that were nice and natural with a flare. Oddly, I thought this would be an easy process… saying to myself “I’ve already made my lashes the way I want them to look, I just need to find someone to produce them'‘, but finding a company that could help me achieve my vision was NOT easy at all! There were a lot of expenses, initial disappointment, and questionable moments of if this was even possible but I never gave up. I ended up finding some YouTube videos of others who started their own lash line and to be perfectly honest with you, I had a sigh of relief! I wasn’t alone and my experience was very similar to others.

After feeling as if I found the perfect vendor, So’Nique Lashes™ pre-launched on August 31, 2021. This was really exciting to see my brand take off! Filling orders and being able to use my lashes on my clients was a huge accomplishment as well as a huge success! It wasn’t until my stock started to dwindle that issues started to arise with the production of my lashes. Immediately I’m screaming noooooooooo!! Was I upset? YES. Was I embarrassed? YES. Did I want to start over? NO. So what happened next? I gathered myself and I focused on my 4 R’s: RE-start, RE-search, RE-brand, and RE-build. I was determined to get it right this time!

I knew what I was looking for, I knew when I was being told ridiculous production costs, I knew when a vendor simply just wanted my busine$$, and I knew what good quality lashes were. I was back to researching, doing a lot of emailing, and communicating on What’s App. Now I’m sure some may be thinking how hard could this really be? Well, when you want custom lashes and you don’t want to just go the private label route it’s a lot. There’s tons of sampling and let’s not forget there are costs associated with everything! I had the formula from the first time so I thought this could actually end up being better for my business and it was! Long story short and now 6 companies later lol my faith walk and prayers were answered yet again!

All of my lashes are handmade, high-quality, and lightweight, making them easy to apply, reusable, and comfortable to wear!
